Nurturing Faith
Nurturing is traditionally a feminine image. Christ, God’s Wisdom, nourishes us in the Church, our mother. We are church to each other. Learning to love and be loved takes us towards knowing: we move towards the knowledge and wisdom of God. We help each other as we travel on. We long that others would travel with us. As we look ahead to a church which both nourishes us and welcomes others, we are helped in this issue of franciscan by a bishop, a friar, a mother, a Third Order group and by a couple of tales about ‘Dorothy’.
